Colo. governor names education panel
DENVER – Colorado Gov. Bill Ritter has named 11 new members of his higher education strategic plan steering committee.
The panel will develop a comprehensive roadmap for the future of Colorado’s 27 public colleges and universities. It holds its first meeting Wednesday.
The new members named Tuesday include Ray Baker, former chair of the Colorado Commission on Higher Education; former House Speaker Russ George; Jane Rawlings, assistant publisher of the Pueblo Chieftain; and Alan Salazar, senior policy adviser to Democratic U.S. Sen. Mark Udall of Colorado.
