BEAVER CREEK — Paderewski Fine Art in Beaver Creek will welcome Sybil Hill as artist in residence on Saturday. A Colorado resident, Hill finds inspiration right outside her door with the abundance of wildlife that migrates through her backyard and surrounding horse farms.
The American Legion donates weathered and worn American flags to Hill, which she often uses in her paintings, preserving the American spirit in her own way. She finds great pleasure in donating her paintings to nonprofit organizations.
Horses, American flags, Buddha and assorted wildlife are reoccurring themes in Hill’s work, and she paints them in a variety of motions and styles.
“I think each painting has its own story, and I try to capture this,” Hill said.
Participate in The Longevity Project
The Longevity Project is an annual campaign to help educate readers about what it takes to live a long, fulfilling life in our valley. This year Kevin shares his story of hope and celebration of life with his presentation Cracked, Not Broken as we explore the critical and relevant topic of mental health.
She often adds found objects and applies them to reusable wood or fencing, layering them with vintage paper, maps, assorted fabrics and music sheets. Poetry and healing words often complete the finished works.
Paderewski Fine Art invites anyone interested in meeting and watching this jovial, worldly artist to stop in to the Beaver Creek gallery.
