Colorado Bike to Work Day is Wednesday

EAGLE COUNTY, Colorado – Wednesday is Colorado Bike to Work Day, and local citizens are encouraged to ride a bike or walk to work. The ECO Trails Committee, along with local bike shops and businesses, are supporting this statewide event by rewarding citizens who choose to cycle or walk to their workplace.-

Volunteers will be hosting rest stops between 7 a.m. and 9 a.m. at Mayor’s Park in Vail, Malin Pedestrian Bridge in Dowd Junction, Avon at the U.S. Highway 6 roundabout, Edwards at the U.S. Highway 6 intersection, Mountain Pedaler in Eagle and on U.S. Highway 6 in Gypsum. Visitors to the rest stops will be provided with refreshments as well as free giveaways for making the effort to ride or walk to work.-

All sections of the Eagle Valley Trail are open and available as a detour around the Xcel Energy utility project on U.S. Highway 6 between Edwards and Minturn.
