VAIL — Known for using diamonds in their natural form, jeweler Todd Reed has changed the idea of luxury through his jewelry. For more than 20 years, Reed has sought to showcase the natural beauty of diamonds, be it their raw cube shape when they came out of the earth with or the rainbow spectrum of natural colors that they exhibit. Set in 18k gold, oxidized silver and palladium, each piece is handmade with the diamonds helping to direct the shaple of his designs.
“In my jewelry I harbor on the question of how diamonds parallel humans in that quest for uniqueness. That idea that you can still be a diamond but be unique and be natural,” Reed said.
Reed is also passionate about philanthropy and giving back to the community. He visits the Squash Blossom in Vail Saturday. The store hosts a trunk show Friday through Sunday. The show coincides with Habitat for Humanity’s annual Carpenter’s Ball. Reed is joining the Squash Blossom as a sponsor for the event and is generously donating a necklace to the silent auction.
Visit the Squash Blossom this weekend to meet Reed and view his extensive collection of unique diamond designs. Call 970-476-3129 to learn more.
