Colorado GOP getting pep talk from party chief

Associated Press

LITTLETON, Colorado ” Colorado Republicans are talking redemption at their biennial meeting this weekend in Littleton, and they’re getting a pep talk from the head of the GOP National Committee.

RNC Chairman Michael Steele knows about bouncing back from defeat. The Maryland Republican lost a bruising Senate race in that state in 2006 and then was named chairman of the party this year.

And despite comments on abortion and Rush Limbaugh that angered some Republicans, Steele has seen fundraising hold steady since taking over the party.

Colorado’s GOP could use some inspiration. The party lost the presidential race in Colorado, along with one seat in the U.S. House and one in the Senate.
