Colorado: Gov. Ritter’s re-election campaign raises $452,000
DENVER – Gov. Bill Ritter’s campaign says the Democrat raised $452,000 in the third quarter for his re-election bid.
The campaign reported Monday that 1,873 donors made average contributions of more than $200 to put Ritter over $400,000 for the second straight quarter.
The re-election campaign says 1,327 new donors contributed during the quarter running July through September.
The fundraising announcement came on the same day that former U.S. Rep. Scott McInnis kicked off his campaign for governor. He is one of three Republicans announcing campaigns to challenge Ritter in next year’s election.
Also seeking the GOP nomination are state Senate Minority Leader Josh Penry and Evergreen businessman Dan Maes.
