Colorado governor OKs more stimulus road projects
DENVER, Colorado ” Gov. Bill Ritter has signed off on a third round of transportation and transit projects using federal stimulus money.
Friday’s approvals bring the total number of transportation and transit stimulus projects in Colorado to more than 80, worth about $415 million.
The newly approved projects include $35 million to widen Interstate 25 and build a new interchange in Colorado Springs, $6 million for improvements on I-25 north of Crossroads in Larimer County and $3 million for the interchange at I-25 and Crossroads.
Other newly approved projects include about $5.8 million for bus-system improvements in Greeley and $3.6 million for bus system improvements in Fort Collins and Loveland.
