Colorado governor raises another $411,361 for re-election
DENVER, Colorado – About 1,300 people have contributed to Gov. Bill Ritter’s campaign in the most recent round of fundraising.
The Democrat announced last week that he had raised more than $400,000 in the second quarter, which ended June 30. A report filed Wednesday with the state confirms that and provides more details about who’s been giving.
Most of the donors are from Colorado but Ritter picked up donations from other states, including California and Texas.
Donors included former Denver Broncos quarterback Brian Griese as well as Silicon Valley venture capitalist John Doerr and his wife Ann. They each gave the maximum allowed under campaign finance limits for individuals – $1,050 each.
