Colorado juveniles accused of tossing rocks at passing cars
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado ” Three juveniles have been issued summonses for felony criminal mischief after allegedly throwing rocks at vehicles traveling along a busy Colorado Springs roadway.
Police say officers were dispatched to the 700 block of South Academy Boulevard late Wednesday on reports of kids throwing items at passing vehicles.
Investigators say they determined the perpetrators were three juvenile males who were throwing rocks. Their names and ages were not released.
Two vehicles at the scene had total damage of about $1,000, but police say it’s possible that more vehicles may have been damaged.
Motorists who believe they may have been victims of the rock throwers are urged to call police.
A survey showed a good bit of support for local government action to bolster workforce housing in town. For now though, that support stops at supporting a new tax for funding.
