Colorado lawmaker says Rush Limbaugh should be reprimanded
DENVER, Colorado ” U.S. Senator Ken Salazar says he wants Rush Limbaugh to be reprimanded by his bosses after the conservative talk show host commented on his program that riots during the Democratic National Convention would help Republicans.
The Senator from Colorado sent a letter Friday to Clear Channel Radio calling Limbaugh’s remarks “incendiary.” Clear Channel Denver Director of programing Kris Olinger says the company forwarded Salazar’s letter to Premier Radio Network, which syndicates Limbaugh’s show.
Limbaugh made his comment Wednesday to the tune of the holiday song, “White Christmas,” and said riots during the convention would ensure Democrats don’t get elected.
Olinger says Limbaugh’s employer’s don’t believe he’s calling for riots in Denver.
She added that she doesn’t think Salazar has heard or read the full transcript of what Limbaugh said.
