Colorado Mountain Medical has new CEO in Vail Valley

VAIL VALLEY, Colorado “-Dr. Brooks F. Bock has been named the new chief executive officer of Colorado Mountain Medical, the largest multi-specialty medical group in Colorado’s Vail Valley.
Bock was an emergency physician who served as professor and chair of the Department of Emergency Medicine at Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, Michigan, from 1985 to 2005. He simultaneously served as specialist-in-chief, emergency medicine for the Detroit Medical Center, which treats 340,000 emergency patients annually.
In 2005 he was appointed president of Harper University Hospital and Hutzel Women’s Hospital, two large Detroit Medical Center facilities. He and his family moved to Vail in August, though they have been part-time residents since 1996.
Bock’s wife, Dr. Pamela A. Bock is a obstetrician/gynecologist at Colorado Mountain Medical.
The Bocks have a daughter attending the University of Michigan along with a ninth and a 10th grader attending the Vail Mountain School.
