Colorado online filing for unemployment working
DENVER, Colorado – State officials say Colorado’s online system for filing unemployment claims is up and running after sporadic outages the last couple days.
The Department of Labor became aware Sunday of problems with CUBline Online. About half the 36,000 people who normally use the system were unable to complete their transactions that day.
Officials say the system was repaired by midmorning Tuesday.
It’s unclear what caused the problems.
The Labor Department says the system still might be slower than normal because people who couldn’t log on the past two days are trying to now.
About 160,000 people in Colorado are collecting unemployment benefits and must update their claims every other week.
Snow usually comes and goes in this part of the state. A forecasted storm is expected to stick around for a while. Forecasters are calling for snow to persist throughout the weekend in the high country, with a prospect of a couple of feet of powder by the time the storm starts to diminish on Monday.
