Colorado schools, airport take normal steps against flu

DENVER, Colorado ” Denver schools are reminding teachers and students to wash their hands and take other normal precautions against swine flu, but state health officials say no confirmed cases have been reported in Colorado.

Denver Public Schools spokesman Alex Sanchez said Monday officials aren’t scrubbing down desks or taking any other extra steps. Denver International Airport officials say they aren’t taking any extra precautions either.

Airport spokesman Jeff Green says that if incoming flight crews notice passengers with symptoms, a paramedic would board the plane to check, but that’s normal procedure.

Green says no extra health officials or paramedics are on duty at the airport.
