Colorado State Parks celebrate 50th anniversary
AURORA, Colorado – Colorado State Parks is celebrating its 50th anniversary.
A birthday party was planned Wednesday at Cherry Creek State Park, Colorado’s first state park.
Since it was created in 1959, over 40 parks – almost a quarter-million acres – have been added to the system. The parks are supported in part by proceeds from Colorado Lottery sales.
Participants attached protest signs to ski poles and hockey sticks in Vail Saturday at the 2020 Women’s March.
