Colorado teens surrender in school Molotov cocktail attack
GOLDEN, Colorado ” Two Golden High School students have turned themselves in to authorities to face allegations that they set a staff member’s vehicle on fire with a Molotov cocktail.
The blaze broke out about 9:35 a.m. Thursday in a Honda Civic in the school’s parking lot. Golden police Officer Jeff Hesalroad says the car was destroyed.
No one was hurt.
The students’ names and ages have not been released because they are juveniles. They surrendered on Tuesday.
Authorities say they could face charges of second-degree arson, criminal mischief, possession of an incendiary device and possession of a weapon on school grounds.
Jefferson County School District spokeswoman Lynn Setzer says the car belonged to a campus supervisor who helps with security matters, but is not a security guard.
There Marco Odermatt was, in the Birds of Prey finish corral following his gutsy super-G run, wondering just how fast he was. As the second skier on course, and the first to finish, the confusion was understandable.
