Colorado’s Musgrave takes job with anti-abortion group
Denver, CO Colorado
DENVER, Colorado ” Former Colorado congresswoman Marilyn Musgrave has joined a political action group that will target pro-choice members of Congress for defeat.
Musgrave, a Republican who was defeated in November, will head the “Votes Have Consequences” campaign of the Susan B. Anthony List.
The Virginia-based Susan B. Anthony List announced Musgrave’s role last week. The group works to elect anti-abortion congressional candidates.
Votes Have Consequences is organized under a federal law that imposes few limits on fundraising and spending for groups whose primary purpose is nonpolitical. Known as 501(c)4’s for a section of the law, the groups generally don’t have to disclose their donors.
Musgrave was critical of a 501(c)4 group that spent about $1.6 million against her in 2008.
