Comedian Jo Koy will perform in Beaver Creek
BEAVER CREEK ” Standup comedian and Comedy Central veteran Jo Koy will open for “Satuday Night Live” alumnus Jon Lovitz at the Vilar Center on Oct. 5. The evening of comedy was a late addition into the Vilar Center’s summer lineup, extending the performance season for a local crowd.
Koy has been featured on Comedy Central, BET and “The Tonight Show With Jay Leno,” to name a few. Koy has shared the stage with Dave Chapelle, Bill Belamy and Andrew Dice Clay, and he was a featured act on the Def Comedy Jam Tour.
Koy began his career in 1996 in Las Vegas and quickly became a top performer at the MGM Grand. His talent was quickly recognized by an L.A. agent, and he began making regular appearances at The Laugh Factory, The Comedy Store and Showtime at the Apollo.
Koy will open for fellow comedian Lovitz. Lovitz currently stars on the CBS series “Two and a Half Men” as Charlie Sheen’s nemesis, and his “Saturday Night Live” character Master Thespian is currently the spokesman for Subway
Koy kicks off the evening of laughs at 7:30 p.m., but leave the kids at home ” the show is for mature audiences only, as the content is rated R.
