EAGLE, Colorado – The longest running regular comedy series in the region kicks off its fifth season this Saturday as the Back Bowl in Eagle presents Comedy Night at the Bowlmor. This week marks the return of Comedy Works headliner, BT.

BT is no newcomer to the world of standup. His resume includes “Top Comic” honors at the iconic Starving Artists Comedy Competition and several appearances at the HBO US Comedy Arts Festival. He also earns his chops by headlining at many of the nation’s highest profile comedy clubs, including the Laugh Factory, Funny Bones and Denver’s own Comedy Works.

The road to success has also taken BT through Hollywood, where as an aspiring young actor he found early success when he landed a role in “Suckers” which would go on to become somewhat of a cult classic. That led to appearances on numerous television shows from the Sci-Fi channel’s “Black Scorpion,” to NBC’s “Friday Night Videos” and the Keenan Ivory “Wayans Show.”

But, his love for performing live ultimately took hold. His uncanny story telling ability tests and, at times, crosses accepted boundaries garnering the kind of attention that is just too much fun to ignore.

Back Bowl owner Joe Gonzalez can attest to the connection BT has with his audiences.

“After four full years of hosting live comedy, you learn that some comics just seem to connect better with a wider range of audience,” Gonzalez said. “BT is one of those. He also happens to be hilarious. That’s why he’s back for a third time. We couldn’t think of a better act to start our new season. The last time he was here the crowd was in tears from laughter!”

Opening the show is Ron Ferguson. Ferguson has been blazing the comedy circuit all over the region. His not-so-subtle self-deprecating style homes in on his own upbringing and how it relates to the insane vagaries of today’s politically correct world.

Tickets for Comedy Night at the Bowlmor are on sale now for $12 in advance and $15 on the day of the show. Group discounts are also available.
