Commissioner candidate forum set for Tuesday, Sept. 14
All five candidates for Eagle County commissioner will square off in a candidates forum on Tuesday, Sept. 14.
The Homestead Homeowners Association is hosting the forum, scheduled for 6:30-8:30 p.m., at Gracious Savior Lutheran Church in Edwards, located at the corner of Highway 6 and Lake Creek Road.
It’s a moderated forum, with open questioning at the end.
All Eagle County voters vote for candidates in each of the two races. The elected candidate must live in a specific area of the county, and two of the three commissioner seats are up for election.
For the eastern end of the Eagle River Valley, voters will decide between Democrat Peter Runyon and Republican Richard DeClark.
For the Edwards and Eagle area, incumbent Arn Menconi is being challenged by former Eagle County Sheriff A.J. Johnson and Avon mayor Buz Reynolds.
