Commissioners to continue discussion on ballot questions
EAGLE COUNTY — The Eagle County Board of Commissioners will resume a discussion on potential ballot questions during their regular meeting Tuesday. The item is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. in the Eagle County Room.
The format for the discussion will include a brief overview of three topics under consideration, which include funding for affordable housing, funding for early childhood programs, and expansion of the use of county open space funds. Information on all three issues, including results from telephone polling conducted earlier this summer, is available online at http://www.eaglecounty.us/commissioners.
Following the overview, the commissioners will allocate time for public input. Attendees may be asked to limit their comments in length and content to allow time for all participants to speak and the opportunity for diversity of input.
After closing the comment period, the board will continue their discussion and provide direction to county management on next steps.
Once finalized, any proposed ballot questions must be scheduled for consideration during a future public hearing which will include additional opportunity for community comment. The deadline for placing items on the ballot is Sept. 7.
Those unable to attend next week’s meeting are encouraged to provide input in advance to email@example.com.
