Vail, CO Colorado

VAIL, Colorado ” A martini that raises money for charity is now on sale at Centre V in the Arrabelle at Vail Square in Lionshead in Vail, Colorado.

The “Communitini” ” made with pomegranate vodka, Pomm juice, lemonade and fresh mint, will benefit the Vail Valley Charitable Fund, an organization that gives financial assistance to Vail Valley residents suffering medical crises.

The fund will receive $5 for each Communitini served. Centre will serve it until the end of ski season. The drink is part of the new Vail Resorts 360 program, the company’s effort to be more involved in the community.

The idea for the Communitini was inspired by Danny Meyer’s book, “Setting The Table,” which talks about the importance of being part of the community, including making donations through non-profit events, said Rob Dorey, director of food and beverage for the Arrabelle.

“We took this concept and turned it into something that we can do on a daily basis,” Dorey said.
