EAGLE, Colorado – Eagle County has selected Mauriello Planning Group to assist in the creation of a master plan for the Eagle-Vail commercial area, otherwise known as the Eagle-Vail Highway 6 commercial strip.

The company, based in Avon, was selected from a list of 20 respondents to a request for qualifications issued in May. The firm has assembled a team which includes OZ Architecture, Economic and Planning Systems, Alpine Engineering, Kimley-Horn Associates, Western Ecological Resources, RRC Associates and DHM Design to provide additional expertise in planning, design, economics, traffic and environmental considerations.

“We are honored to have been chosen as there were many very qualified and talented teams that responded to the RFQ,” said Dominic Mauriello, principal of MPG. “We’re very excited about this project and look forward to working with the community to assemble a plan that will help guide and shape the Eagle-Vail commercial strip for the next 25 years.”

The project will establish a vision for the area, along with goals, objectives and strategies to guide redevelopment as it occurs. Next steps include identifying stakeholders, creating a steering committee and establishing a process that allows for community input and participation.
