Computers stolen from Edwards Elementary

EDWARDS, Colorado ” Ten computers, a camera, soda and candy were stolen from Edwards Elementary School over the weekend, the Eagle County Sheriff’s Office says.

Six cars parked nearby at Homestead Meadows were vandalized.

A janitor found an open door and a window that appeared to be pried open and called police. Ten Apple computers ” eight of which were laptops ” were taken. The value of the property and the damage done to the school is more than $16,000, the Sheriff’s Office says.

The burglary occurred sometime between Friday and Monday, the Sheriff’s Office says.
