Conservation project tour is Friday

EAGLE COUNTY, Colorado – The Eagle County Conservation District will host a tour of conservation projects Friday.

The tour will include at least four featured locations, each showcasing a successful Conservation projects including:

• Large center pivot and side roll irrigation systems.



• Small gun irrigation system.

• Hydroelectric energy generation.

• River water screening.

• Noxious weed control.

Featured guides and speakers include members of both the Eagle County Conservation District and the Natural Resources Conservation Service.



The event is free and includes coffee and pastries in the morning and a luncheon served at the Colorado River Ranch. The tour departs 8:30 a.m. from the Gypsum Recreation Center, located at 0052 Lundgren Boulevard, next to the Town Hall.
