Construction continues on Lionshead Welcome Center

Daily staff report
Vail, CO Colorado

VAIL, Colorado – The Lionshead Welcome Center project is in the final stretch of construction over the next few weeks and will require additional staging to complete the project safely. As such, beginning today, the green construction fencing on the south side of the building will be extended to the edge of West Lionshead Circle to allow the contractors to complete overhead work on the roof and windows.

The fencing will be in place for approximately two weeks. The shuttle bus loading area will be available from the restroom entrance and to the east. The building’s restrooms and lockers will remain open.

The new 10,600-square-foot Welcome Center replaces the 30-year-old auxiliary building. The contractor is R.A. Nelson. For additional details, call Tom Kassmel in the town’s public-works department at 970-479-2235.
