Daily Staff Report

Things are bustling up Valley Road at the site of the new Brightwater Club. The golf course, and accompanying 535 homesites, will be built on what was formerly the Albertson Ranch.Developers say the gated Brightwater Club will offer a recreation-oriented lifestyle centered on water, golf, trails, and open space. The developer’s vision was a club for all ages of people looking to live in the Eagle Valley, said Wells Marvin. Marvin is the director and president of Clearwater Development, the developers of Brightwater. “Brightwater Club will offer a wide range of residential opportunities, whether you’re looking for a vacation home, a seasonal home or a family estate to be enjoyed for generations,” said Marvin. The Brightwater Club is surrounded by the Colorado Rockies and is bordered by public land. One mile of Gypsum Creek runs through the property, offering fly-fishing. In addition, 27 acres of lakes and ponds are located on the property for other recreational activities.Residential opportunities include half-acre to one-and-a-half acre homesites, custom-designed homes and low-maintenance cabins. Approximately one half of the property will be preserved for golf and recreational open space. The club, when completed, will have 10 miles of trails for hiking, mountain biking, snowshoeing, and cross-country skiing. The club will also have a general store, an outfitter’s post, a kids’ activity area and an artisan pavilion. Other planned amenities include a cast-off cabin, lake house, golf center, wellness center and spa and clubhouse. For more information on Brightwater Club, phone (970) 777-1700, or call toll free (888) 414-0369; or visit story first appeared in the Eagle Valley Enterprise.Vail, Colorado
