EAGLE-VAIL — Does your spouse’s drinking control your life? Are you close to someone struggling with alcoholism? Do you feel alone or isolated trying to “fix it” on your own?
It is with the utmost respect for your emotional and physical well-being that this educational support group has been created. You no longer have to struggle alone. This group aims to support, educate and encourage those who are struggling with or who are relationally affected by alcoholism.
The group differs from peer-led Al-Anon groups in that it is led by registered psychotherapist Dawn Nelson. Nelson is passionate about helping people move beyond the daily challenges of living with an alcoholic to rediscover hope.
EXAMINING YOUR ROLE
You will gain new insight into why the alcoholic behaves in confusing ways, how your response to their drinking affects their behavior and the role you may play in perpetuating their harmful choices.
Who should attend? Any adult who has a spouse, partner or some other loved one who is an alcoholic or whose drinking is causing harm to their relationship. The group size will be limited and confidentiality is strongly encouraged.
