VAIL ” String Cheese Incident concert-goers racked up 32 arrests and tickets Monday and Tuesday nights, said Vail police Operations Commander Steve Wright.

The jam band was in town for two concerts at Dobson Arena.

Nine concert-goers were arrested on suspicion of marijuana possession of less than one ounce. Eight were ticketed for open alcohol containers.

Four were ticketed for minor in possession of alcohol. Three were arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.

Thirteen officers worked Monday and Tuesday nights ” eight more than usual.

Other arrests and tickets included two assaults and arrests on warrants, urinating in public, vandalism and others. For an attendance of 2,800 people each concert night, the offenses ran low, Wright said.

“The tenor of the crowd was cooperative,” he said.
