GOLDEN, Colorado ” An autopsy Wednesday revealed acute heart failure as the cause of death for the 35-year-old Breckenridge man who was assaulted by two unknown men at a bar in the resort town earlier this week, officials said.

Thomas Guidry was pronounced dead at St. Anthony Summit Medical Center at 2:09 a.m. Monday, after being rushed from the foyer of Salt Creek Steakhouse, 110 Lincoln Ave.

“He had no life threatening injuries,” said Summit County Coroner Joanne Richardson.

Guidry suffered heart failure due to underlying, preexisting heart disease, Richardson said.

Police investigated Guidry’s death as a homicide and have been working to identify the men who assaulted him before he collapsed to the floor and became unresponsive. They were captured on surveillance video and Breckenridge Police Department released pictures of four individuals Wednesday.

The two who are considered suspects at this time are described as white men in their early 20s. On the video, one is wearing a camouflage coat and the second is wearing a white coat with a white baseball hat, police said.

Also, the tape shows two other individuals who were with the suspects both before and after the altercation. These “persons of interest are described as a white male with facial hair on his chin and a white female,” according to a press release.

The Breckenridge Police Department is seeking the public’s help to identify the four individuals. Anyone with any information is asked to contact Det. Sergeant Susan Quesada at (970) 547-3137 or Summit County Crime Stoppers at 1-866-453-STOP.
