Cops: Man drove into rocks, trees
Vail, CO Colorado
EAGLE ” A man who crashed his car into some boulders and trees on Interstate 70 Tuesday afternoon was taken to the hospital, Colorado State Trooper Ben Steger said.
The man was driving west when he went off the left side of the road and crashed into several boulders and a couple of trees in the median, more than four miles east of the Eagle exit.
Authorities have not released the man’s name, but his 1998 black Subaru Forester was registered to an Edwards address, he said.
Doctors were trying to decide whether to have the man flown to a Denver hospital Tuesday night.
“I don’t believe it’s anything life threatening,” Steger said about the man’s injuries.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation, Steger said.
Authorities closed the left lane of the interstate briefly due to the crash, he said.
