Cops: Minturn woman arrested on prostitution charge
Vail, CO Colorado
EAGLE, Colorado ” A Minturn woman was arrested on prostitution charges, a rarity in Eagle County, after meeting with an undercover investigator at an Eagle hotel and offering to “perform sexual acts” for $400, the Eagle County Sheriff’s Office said Tuesday.
Heather Linton, 38, was arrested Monday for suspicion of prostitution, a class three misdemeanor, and possession of marijuana, a petty offense. An informant’s tip led to the undercover investigation and her arrest, said Sara Cross, public information officer for the sheriff’s office.
The last time prostitution was reported to the sheriff’s office was in August 2002, Cross said.
“This is the first arrest we’ve had in a long time,” Cross said.
Linton was working alone, and her arrest isn’t an indication of a larger prostitution ring, Cross said.
