Cordillera UpdateAs of Friday, 19 October 2007 Eagle County Surveys Traffic Control Devices Do you have concerns about traffic flow/speed on Squaw Creek Road, Highway 6, Interstate 70 or other Vail Valley thoroughfares? Eagle County is studying traffic control devices in the area and needs the publics input. This study will look at all traffic control devices in the county, including speed limits, for safety and suitability. Public input will be used to determine if safety assessments, traffic studies or other research needs to be done in certain areas. To participate, visit http://www.eaglecounty.us and select the Traffic Control Device Survey link. Questions concerning the survey may be directed to the Eagle County Engineering Department at 970-328-3560. Cordillera Customer Service SurveyIn an effort to identify Cordilleras strengths as well as areas for improvement, a customer service survey has been sent to all Cordillera Property Owners. Please take a few minutes to complete the survey. A copy of the survey may also be found at http://www.cordillerametro.org on the home page. Please return/mail your reply to the Administration Building no later than Saturday, 3 November. Surveys may also be left with staff at the gatehouses, prior to the date. The results of the survey will be shared at the 2007 Holiday Coffee, scheduled for Friday, 28 December at 4:00 p.m. Should you have any questions or concerns, please call Judith Clark at 970-569-6263 or e-mail jclark@cordillerametro.org . Please Respect Private Property Cordillera has over 3,000 acres of open space and at least 30 miles of hiking trails dedicated for the use of wildlife and Cordillera owners. Cordillera has direct access to Forest Service and Bureau of Land Management public lands adjacent to the Summit and Territories. Within a short distance of Cordillera there is additional access to public lands. With all of this opportunity for back country use we ask that property owners respect other peoples private property. Lately, Public Safety has been receiving calls from frustrated property owners asking for assistance in keeping their property private. Please respect private property so neither these property owners or Public Safety are forced to take enforcement action. Specifically note that much of the land between the El Mirador water tank and Colorow is private property. Cordillera Metro District & Property Owners Association Board Meeting The next board meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, 14 November, @ 8:30 in the Metro District Administration Building As always, property owners are most welcome.
