Cordillera motorcycle group to host fundraiser
July 7, 2010
VAIL VALLEY – The Cordillera Motorcycle Foundation, in partnership with The Club at Cordillera and the Cordillera Metro District, will host the 7th annual Rider Cup Charity weekend golf tournament and fundraiser July 29-31.
Golfers and guests from throughout the Vail Valley, the state, and from around the country, will convene at the courses at The Club at Cordillera for a weekend of engine-revving, club-swinging fun for a good cause. Proceeds from the 2010 event will help provide elementary school children in the Vail Valley with backpacks, school supplies and the school breakfasts necessary to ensure a successful 2010-2011 school year.
Money raised during the Rider Cup will also be donated to provide continuing support for the Ride to Success Scholarship Fund, which provides textbooks to qualifying HERO scholarship students attending Colorado Mountain College.
“We can’t say thank you enough for the outpouring of support for the Rider Cup we’ve seen from the Vail Valley community year after year,” said Laura Foster, director of operations for the Cordillera Motorcycle Association. “It’s been a huge blessing to be able provide support for children in our community, just by doing all of the things we love.”
The 2010 Rider Cup weekend tournament and events are open to anyone interested in participating.
