Costly rental missing since last year in Gypsum
GYPSUM, Colorado “-A dirt compactor from a rental company has been missing since last year and the last company to borrow it has been getting charged more than $1,000 each month since it was rented out.
The Gypsum company that rented the compactor in mid-July last year was also under the impression that it was returned just a couple weeks later. But the company received a phone call in January from the rental company asking when they could expect the compactor back.
The company also found out that since July of last year, the rental company has been charging $1,106 a month for the compactor to be out on loan. The company that rented it said it must have been stolen.
Deputies don’t have any leads in the case.
