VAIL, Colorado – Vail and Miller Ranch child-care centers will hold the 3rd annual Alter Ego Costume Ball fundraiser from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Oct. 17 at Rick & Kelly’s Restaurant in Edwards. The adults-only, costume-optional event supports the two local day-care facilities with staffing and operational costs through funds raised from ticket sales and silent auction items.”With times being as tough as they are, we are trying not to transfer many of our costs on to the local families who are already struggling to stay in the Valley,” said Cindy Lagace, director of Vail Child Care Center. “At the same time we are trying not to cut benefits for our employees.”Tickets are on sale now for $20 per person. Admission includes buffet dinner and cocktail sponsored by Rick & Kelly’s, a silent auction, DJ and dancing. Tickets will also be available at the door, the night of the event for $25. “Right now, in the event planning stages, we are still looking for businesses to donate items for the silent auction,” said Lagace. “And, of course, we encourage every fun-loving, child-at-heart adult who loves to play dress up to come and have a great time… make the kids proud.” For more information, to donate or to purchase tickets, call 476-1615 or 926-2501.
