VAIL, Colorado ” The Vail Valley Foundation will be hosting an ’80s costume contest in conjunction with Wednesday’s free Street Beat concert in Vail, Colorado. So break out your leg warmers, Members Only jackets, shoulder pads and Madonna lingerie outerwear and come prepared to strut your stuff on Gore Creek Drive. You just might win a pair of Atomic Snoop Daddies skis and bindings.

The 6 p.m. concert at Checkpoint Charlie features 80s cover band Chadzilla and the Asteroids from Denver.

The evening’s festivities will conclude with the awarding of the Volvo Vail Grand Prize Guest Giveaway for an out of town guest and the 2009 Volvo C-30 for a lucky local. Concert goers will have one final opportunity to register at the show, although sign ups will end at 7 p.m. in order to prepare for the Grand Prize Game.

A total of eight contestants will be drawn from all the entries received at each free show during the 2009 Bud Light Street Beat series. These contestants will then be narrowed down to the final three, who will compete in a special Volvo Road Race Game to determine the winner of the C-30.

Everyone who has registered at any show this winter should come prepared with a valid drivers license as final contestants can only be confirmed with proper identification, even if their names are drawn.
