EAGLE — The Country Music Project takes the stage Thursday at 6:30 p.m. at the Eagle Town Park in Eagle; as the next free concert in the Moe’s Original ShowDown Town summer concert series. Enjoy music straight from country roots as The Country Music Project pays homage to country music from past to present.
The genre of country music is constantly changing, but it is still a musical style with a strong connection to its roots. The Country Music Project prides itself in its ability honor the traditional sounds of country music as well as tackle the modern sounds of today’s artists at the same time.
With its mix of male and female four-part vocals, and instrumentation that includes an assortment of acoustic, electric and steel guitars, mandolin, banjo, keyboard, bass and drums, The Country Music Project packs a powerful punch that its founding member, Michael Rice, envisioned from the beginning.
Presented by the town of Eagle, ShowDown Town concerts take place Thursday evenings in July and August at 6:30 p.m. with children’s activities also highlighting family friendly evenings in the park. Face painting, balloon animals and character sketches are just a few things to look forward to in addition to the free concerts.
