County GOP holds candidate town hall Wednesday
EAGLE — Eagle County Republicans will sponsor the second of two Town Hall meetings for the party’s candidates to meet the public Wednesday. The town hall will be held at the Eagle County Building in Eagle, and will begin at 6 p.m.
Using a new format for presenting candidates and their positions, this event will highlight the GOP’s candidates for Eagle County Commissioner and Eagle County Treasurer. It will begin with opening statements from the candidates followed by a question and answer segment with an open microphone allowing interaction with the community.
With several events planned using a forum style, this town hall will allow a more casual flow of information and a chance to get more details from each of the candidates. The concept is to have a conversation with the candidates rather than the more structured program that is typically used.
“We’re very excited to sponsor a new and exciting format to showcase our candidates” said Kaye Ferry, chair of Eagle County Republicans. “We want the community to get a sense of who these candidates are on a personal level and who they intend to be as elected officials.”
