VAIL — The Vail Valley Foundation, organizer of the annual Hot Summer Nights free concert series, announced on Thursday that the new title sponsor of the series will be Crazy Mountain Brewing Co.
The 2015 Hot Summer Nights free concert series will kick off Tuesday, June 9 with Pimps of Joytime, a soul-funk band from New Orleans with highly infectious dance grooves. The free concert series will continue on Tuesdays through Aug. 18, presenting a variety of shows ranging from rock to country to bluegrass to funk and beyond.
To celebrate the new partnership, Crazy Mountain Brewing Co. is committed to making the free concert series better than ever, with a new pre-concert happy hour that will feature rare and new offerings on tap at the amphitheater, free opening act entertainment, games, festivities and more. The fun will kick off at the amphitheater Tuesdays starting June 9 at 4:30 p.m., with the main act taking the stage at 6:30 p.m.
“Crazy Mountain Brewery is excited to partner with the Vail Valley Foundation on our locals favorite summer series Hot Summer Nights,” said Marisa Selvy, chief marketing officer of Crazy Mountain Brewing Co. “We are happy to announce our new pre-concert tailgate, where locals and guests can enjoy drink specials, games and live entertainment prior to the show.”
For more than 25 years, the Vail Valley Foundation, with help from its generous sponsors, has played host to one of Vail’s greatest summer traditions for locals and guests alike, hosting free rock, reggae, bluegrass, hip-hop and more at the Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater on Tuesday nights.
“We’re thrilled to join forces with Crazy Mountain Brewing Co. for our Hot Summer Nights free concert series this year,” said Michael Imhof, senior vice president of sales and development for the Vail Valley Foundation. “Just as Hot Summer Nights is a longstanding tradition in this valley, so is Crazy Mountain, as our community’s first production brewery. The new ideas for how to make our series even better have us excited for this partnership, and we can’t wait for the kick-off of summer. We hope to see you all at the amphitheater starting June 9 for our series.”
The Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater is located east of Golden Peak at Ford Park in Vail. Concert attendees are asked to park at the main Vail Village parking structure, with overflow parking at the Lionshead parking structure. Free town of Vail shuttles will run extended routes past Golden Peak from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m., with a drop off at the soccer field near the Ford Amphitheater. Additionally, a special Village-to-Village express bus will run from 4 to 9:30 p.m. with stops at the east entrance of the Lionshead parking structure, in front of the Vail Village Information Center and at Ford Park.
Once inside the concert venue, picnics with commercially-sealed non-alcoholic beverages are permitted, as are legless lawn chairs, blankets and umbrellas. Bikes, skateboards and dogs are prohibited at the amphitheater.
