Creating comfortable Vail Valley workplaces

Daily Staff Report
Vail, CO Colorado

AVON, Colorado ” A seminar on how employers can better communicate with workers of different ethnicities will be held March 21 at 8:30 a.m. at the Seasons Building in Avon.

David Slade, owner of Boulder-based Lanza Language, says employees who have a better understanding of others cultures can create a work environment where “Spanish speakers and English speakers can work together comfortably, safely, and productively.”

Such an environment can give businesses a competitive edge when it comes to hiring and keeping workers, Slade says.

The seminar costs $15 for members of the High Country Human Resources Association and $20 for non-members. Visit or contact Julie Jacoby at (970)766-2201 for more information.
