Crestone Metaphysical Fair focuses on spirituality, healing
CRESTONE – Celebrate the beginning of the summer season with the Crestone Metaphysical Fair and Star Path Conference on Memorial Day weekend in Crestone.Crestone is a spiritually and environmentally conscious community at the base of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains in southern Colorado. For many generations, Crestone has attracted visitors from around the world to experience the healing energy of the area’s mountains, wildlife and hot springs.This growing annual event focuses on spirituality and healing with more than 50 indoor and outdoor booths offering readings, massage, foot reflexology, gifts, henna art, clothing, jewelry, books, music, astrology, crystals, Native American drums, ancient and contemporary healing techniques, nutritional supplements, herbs, handcraft and more.Now in its fifth year, the Crestone Metaphysical Fair is known for its vibrant yet peaceful energy, said organizers. The event draws attendance and exhibitors from around Colorado and the entire Four Corners region.The fair is combined with the Star Path Conference featuring workshops and lectures on spirituality, metaphysics, holistic healing and conscious living.

The centerpiece of the weekend is a special Earth Healing Workshop and Ceremony led by Terra-Raye and featuring a Sacred Sword Dance for Peace by Gushikawa. The workshop and ceremony will take place on the grounds of the White Eagle from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday, May 29.Within the circle, Gushikawa will perform the Sacred Sword Dance that she has offered around the world to promote Earth healing and peace. Of Okinawan descent, Gushikawa brings her ancestral Geisha-Samurai Warrior presence to Crestone and the San Luis Valley.No admission will be charged for this activity, although donations will be accepted for Gushi and Terra-Raye, both of Westcliffe, to continue their peace ministry around the world.Free 45-minute lectures will also be offered throughout the weekend.
