VAIL — A 41-year- old man has been arrested by the Eagle County Sheriff’s Office after Vail police obtained an arrest warrant for threats the man allegedly made against Vail police officers and dispatch staff.
According to the warrant, Frank James Duddleston reportedly made five calls to the Vail Public Safety Communications Center on both non-emergency and 911 lines between June 7 and June 10. In those calls, Duddleston allegedly stated that he was “going to kill every one of you” and that he would “hunt the dispatchers down.”
During another incident, Duddleston made a purchase at a Vail coffee shop on Thursday, then allegedly called about 45 minutes later threatening to kill the staff for allegedly poisoning his coffee. Duddleston was taken into custody by Eagle County Sheriff’s officers without incident Friday at a campground near Red Cliff.
Duddleston has been charged with stalking, menacing, obstructing governmental operations, harassment by phone and inciting destruction of life or property.
