Crimestoppers’ crime of the month: BB shooting

A children’s ski school Instructor was shot with a pellet gun on Vail Mountain in the area of Lion’s Way Trail and the Vista Bahn ski lift around 11 a.m., March 28.The instructors said a man, probably between the ages of 18 and 25, aimed and fired what appeared to be a short barrel pellet rifle or long barrel hand pellet gun, while riding the Vista Bahn. The instructor suffered only minor injuries.Vail Security and Ski Patrol didn’t get the information until after the suspect had exited the ski lift. Security and Ski Patrol searched the mountain for the suspect, but did not find him.The suspect was wearing a beige colored ski jacket, black ski pants and had either a black helmet or large ski goggles on his head. The suspect was a skier and was accompanied by another unknown person on the same chair lift. It is unknown if the other person is involved with this incident.Eagle County Crime Stoppers is searching for information that will lead to the arrest and or indictment of a suspect or suspect involved in this case.
