CSU Extension offers food preservation classes in Eagle
EAGLE, Colorado – Learn the basics of home canning with Eagle County’s CSU Extension Master Food Safety Advisors. Workshops will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. on the first three Wednesdays in September at the Golden Eagle Senior Center in Eagle. All classes will include a lecture on the science of home food preservation, followed by a hands-on lab.
Topics include:
Wednesday: Jams and jellies/water bath canning
Sept. 8: Pickled products/water bath canning
Sept. 15: Vegetables/pressure canning
