Culinary offerings and culture on the Connoisseurs Trail

VAIL, Colorado On Friday from 5 to 7:30 p.m. the first-ever Connoisseurs Trail, an art walk through eight Vail Village art galleries, will take place. Each gallery will feature wine and food tastings from a local restaurant. The event was planned to correspond with Vails Gourmet on Gore, an open-air tasting of food, wine and spirits taking place in Vail today through Sunday. Sponsored by Vail-Beaver Creek Magazine, all proceeds from Connoisseurs Trail benefit Small Champions, a local Eagle County non-profit organization providing year-round sports programs for children with disabilities like Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome and Autism.Tickets are $20 and are available the day of the event at the main information tent on Bridge Street. Complementing Vail International Gallerys collection during The Connoisseurs Trail are selections of classic French cuisine from Vails Left Bank restaurant.

View an eclectic collection of international, traditional, western and contemporary art in all media, including works by emerging artists. For The Connoisseurs Trail, Masters Gallery features seasonal American cuisine selections from Vails Restaurant Kelly Liken.

100 East Meadow Drive No. 10, Vail Village Claggettt-Rey Gallery features traditional American painting and sculpture by living American artists, featuring the Robert Lougheed Studio and other members of the prestigious Cowboy Artists of America and the National Sculpture Society. Vails Sweet Basil restaurant provides tastings at Claggett-Rey Gallery during The Connoisseurs Trail.
