The tour takes place Saturday and Sunday in Red Cliff.Miss: To Qwest Communications, which had no explanation for the phone service problems that interrupted cell phone, Internet and 911 service on Monday. Hit: To the Vail Valley Veterans program, which hosted 14 Iraq and Afghanistan combat veterans with limbs amputated due to war injuries. The program gives the veterans a chance to horseback ride, fly-fish and raft for a few days in northwest Eagle County. Hit: Any locals who competed in the Leadville 100 miles trail running race. Driving for 100 miles is difficult. Biking for 100 miles is very difficult. And running for 100 miles on trails? Well that takes a lot of determination. Take your much-deserved rest. Hit, from parents who are more than ready to send the little hellions back to class, and a Miss, from the poor children who were just getting used to this summer thing: To the return of the school year looming next week.
