Dalai Lama coming to Aspen in 2008
ASPEN ” The Dalai Lama is scheduled to appear at the Aspen Institute in July 2008, making his second trip to Colorado in two years.
The exiled Tibetan spiritual leader will speak on July 26, the last day of a three-day event called “The Dalai Lama at Aspen: A celebration of Tibetan Art and Culture.”
He attended the September 2006 PeaceJam youth conference in Denver, addressing a sellout crowd of more than 14,000 at the Pepsi Center.
President Bush presented the Dalai Lama with the Congressional Gold Medal two weeks ago, angering China, which considers him a Tibetan separatist.
