Delivery debate continues in Vail

Daily Staff Report
Vail, CO Colorado

VAIL ” Businesses in the village will likely get their deliveries a little differently beginning this ski season.

The town wants to keep delivery trucks out of the way of skiers and shoppers in the village. Recommended changes ” which will be discussed at the Town Council meeting that beings at 6 p.m., Tuesday ” include a code of conduct for delivery drivers, new loading zones on East Gore Creek and East Meadow drives and more aggressive enforcement of delivery rules.

The town ultimately wants to restrict most deliveries to loading docks at four large developments, though some street delivery zones will remain open. The town has yet to decide what times deliveries will not be allowed on the main streets of the village.
