Vail, CO Colorado

DENVER, Colorado ” Democrats say Barack Obama will accept his party’s presidential nomination before up to 76,000 people at the Denver Broncos’ football stadium.

Democratic National Committee Chairman Howard Dean said Monday the final night of the convention would be held at Invesco Field at Mile High instead of the smaller Pepsi Center, which can accommodate 21,000.

Democrats say a block of “community” credentials will be reserved for Colorado residents for Obama’s Aug. 28 speech at the football stadium. They have not said how many of those credentials would be released or how they would be distributed.

The convention begins Aug. 25.
