Denver panel focuses on businesses and climate change

DENVER – Nancy Tuor of Englewood-based CH2M Hill says the key to creating a hub for clean technology is having the talent pool that employers are seeking.Tuor noted the importance of higher education and said the U.S. will have to step up its game as Singapore and China are positioning themselves as cleantech hubs.Tuor was among speakers on a panel Monday at a conference in Denver held by the law firm Faegre & Benson LLP. The panel discussed the impacts of international climate regulation on Colorado’s new energy economy.Jim Spaanstra heads the firm’s environmental and natural resources practice. He says companies are seeking clarity on global standards, as international talks on climate change and greenhouse gases continue.
